Forget Android KitKat, Google is ready to release the next generation of Android OS dubbed as 4.5 (or 5.0) L or may they will named it as "Lollipop" at the Google I/O Conference on 25th June this year. The Android Lollipop is rumored to be a desktop OS.
If reports are to be believed, then Google is ready to showcase the next flavor of Android Operating System with functions of a desktop OS coming to smart-phones and tablets. According to reports coming in, Android 4.5 will redesign its user interface. According to an article by ‘Android Police’, Google was
currently experimenting with ‘Project Hera’, that is supposed to unify the experience users have in Android, Chrome, and Google Search on Android Smart-phones. The new development is aimed to reshape the experience of users who run Google’s apps like Search and Chrome on their Android smart-phones. It is also rumored that the company might integrate HTML 5. This would enable multi-tasking of windows. This update was inspired by Ubuntu’s Project Edge. Google looks at this as to ease the transition between smart-phones & desktop for most users.

Reports also suggested that the Lollipop 4.5/5.0 will allow users to start a task on the computer. It can then be paused and left as a Google task card. This task can then be resumed on the user’s smart-phone. Apart from this, Google is planning to develop its voice assistant OK Google to be on par with Apple’s Siri.

Android users also expected that Android 4.5(or 5.0) Lollipop will support the processor and graphics chipset of a smart-phone with 64-bit processors. Android 4.5(or 5.0) Lollipop OS is also rumored to emphasize on security against malwares and such viruses.
