The Lenovo P70 launched in China, with 4,000mAh battery

The Lenovo P70 just got launched in China, where it sells for 1399 yuan (roughly $224), which theoretically allows you to put Lenovo's beast to the test.

For this sum of money you get a 5-inch 720p display (we did the math for you - its pixel density is 246ppi), an unknown quad-core MediaTek chipset that can hum up to 1.5GHz should some task requires this, 1GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of native storage and microSD card support.

At the back this Lenovo trooper we can find a 13MP camera, while a more modest 5MP one graces the front side of the phone. The operating system of choice is Android 4.4.4 KitKat, probably with Lenovo's own Vibe UI on top.

We don't believe that the Lenovo P70 will make it outside of China (or if it does, it will probably be in a handful of neighboring markets), so don't keep your hopes too high.
The design of this thing is nothing special, it has a nice curve on the sides which should help with the grip to some extent, but other than that, the design won’t blew you away, that’s for sure. Keep in mind that this is Lenovo’s mid-range offering though, the design is not the first thing that the company was thinking, not by a long shot. The device still looks alright though, for those of you who don’t like those flashy designs some manufacturers keep on pushing to the market these days, this will do just fine. In case you’re interested in buying a copy of this handset, you’ll have to splash out 1,399 Yuan ($224). We still don’t know when the device will be available for sale nor if Lenovo plans to offer it for sale on other markets, aside from China of course.
